Jeppesen Discount Program

Since Jeppesen became a Boeing subsidiary a few years ago, Jeppesen has been providing support for BEFA. They provide Flight Planning and approach plate viewing software as well as database updates for our Garmin GPS and display devices without charge to BEFA.

Individual BEFA members may also obtain Jeppesen products and services for their own personal use. For example, products such as JeppView can be installed on a member PC to display and print Jeppesen instrument approach and enroute charts. "Jeppesen Mobile FD" is a free application, available through the iPad application store, and can display these same charts in the cockpit on a BEFA member's iPad. It requires a subscription for chart coverage and the application can use a valid JeppView key for this subscription. However, to obtain the BEFA discount, BEFA members should not place orders via www.jeppdirect.com. Instead, BEFA members should first go to www.jeppdirect.com and register. This will establish a Jeppesen customer number for the BEFA member and provide basic information such as the member's mailing address in the Jeppesen computer system. Then, after selecting one or more products, BEFA members can electronically place a product request via the following URL: http://ww1.jeppesen.com/no-wpr/ext/boeing-nocharge.jsp.

BEFA members have access to this site and indicate on the web page that they are members of BEFA. The first paper chart subscription, JeppView electronic chart product, or any other Jeppesen product (other than navigation databases for Garmin devices) that is ordered is available to BEFA members at no cost. Thereafter, orders will receive a 30% discount. Navigation databases for Garmin devices are available at the 30% discount, but cannot be ordered as the first no cost product. When the order(s) is/are placed, an Email message will be sent by the Jeppesen web system to BEFA staff for verification of membership. Upon completion of that verification, the order will be placed into the Jeppesen system.
